At last! Winter is coming to a close and I have time to begin writing about the creations that I was most excited about last year....
Winter months in Northern California never fail to inspire. I spend autumn finding treasures: eucalyptus buds, mossy branches, special red berries. These things in themselves are quite enough to start making wonderful winter wreaths.
Each detail is important-- a small dried cusp of leaf, a miniature pinecone, or a snatch of gauzy ribbon...
Making wreaths from actual branches is especially rewarding....
